Memmingen - Allgäu Airport Reviews

Regardless of weather, there’s no chance of being indoor. That price of a dog house of an airport is simply closed during the night time.

I have been using memmingen Airport since 2010. It was a relaxed and easy airport. Now it is an absolute nightmare. I queued for 30mins to ENTER the building, Over an hour for security and just made the last shuttle bus to the plane on time, even though I was there 2.5hrs before my flight
There were people everywhere. Everybody was stressed. People were constantly skipping the queue because their flight was about to leave and because there was no system for queuing
Couldn’t use the toilets because they were being cleaned and the other toilets were outside (after queuing 30mins to get inside)
I was traveling alone with a baby. Because of the security scanner, I had to hand my baby over to a stranger so I could stand for the scanner. In other airports I have always walked through while holding my baby. Then we waited in the direct sun for the shuttle bus to come.
I really hope Memmingen airport find solutions for all of these problems.
On a positive note, parking at the airport is great, all near by and if you book early enough, cheap. And the drop off is free for 10mins

The airport has pathetic scheduling of flights so that the terminal is overfilled. Queues extend outside the building and many people miss their flights even if arriving nearly 2 hours before! This is not reflective of German efficiency at all. The Aircraft are parked away from the terminal as they are crammed in and passengers are transferred by bus. The bus departs the gate at 30 minutes before the flight – so those who miss it are told to leave the airport or the police will be called ! No chance of them organising another bus even if ten people are standing there!

Worst airport ever!
Keeping the passengers outside the building regardless of the weather as part of the boarding process is absolutely ridiculous. Used this airport twice and both times after the boarding we were sent out to a balcony to wait for a boarding into a plane that hasn’t even arrived yet. A person would think that considering that only low cost airlines are using this airport and serving destinations to east European countries their passengers don’t deserve a normal treatment. Such disrespect!
Will definitely avoid this airport and flights in future.

Very poor service and staff attitude. I do not recommend this airport to anyone. Arrogant and powerful staff. Dirty rooms and terrible internet speed.
