    Executive Lounge

    24.03.2020

    Pros: Quiet, clean

    Cons: Poor selection of food

    Terminal: Lounge

Improvement is needed in the Executive Lounge. It is a clean, quiet place however, the food needs to be upgraded. The sandwiches were stale, and the pastries were stale. Perhaps a tray of cheese and crackers would be a good idea. There was a very good selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.

Open all the time, nowhere great to stay the night

    29.01.2020

    Pros: Safe

Cons: Bright, early morning security, late cleaning

I found a nice spot upstairs between the two terminals, as under the main check in area (with the tent) the lights stayed on all night. This spot was cleaned and mopped at about 11:30pm, so I had to get up then, but I managed a good 4 hour nap on the floor here from 12-4am. At 4am security woke me up and told me to move as it was opening hours.

There are benches out in the open all downstairs, but the lights are very bright. At least there are no flights between 11 and 6 so it’s quiet for a few hours. There is decent free wifi all over. Better than paying $100 plus for a taxi and hotel room.

    Security Checkpoint Problems

    01.07.2015

(Review by Penelope Malcolm) As my husband and I were preparing to depart from a vacation in Barbados, we were singled out at the security checkpoint by an EXTREMELY RUDE, HOSTILE, UNPROFESSIONAL woman who was obviously seriously filled with a false sense of self-importance and/or a hatred for foreign tourists. We had all our 'questionable' items separated out and in clear, plastic bags. All of our items had passed easily through the Jackson-Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, Ga. with absolutely no problem. We were carrying my husbands insulin which had to be kept on ice. They went through EVERY SINGLE BAG AND SUITCASE OVER-AND-OVER questioning us as if we were criminals. I had checked with TSA before our trip to find out exactly how to transport our medications, so I was appalled at the way we were singled out and humiliated in such a way. We travel a lot so I am very familiar with the hostility some of the locals in certain areas feel for tourists, but this was above and beyond acceptable behavior. Maybe they should keep in mind that they probably wouldn't have their 'important' position if it weren't for tourists. They managed end what was a wonderful experience on a very sour note. Without question, my hard-earned dollars will never again be spent in this place.
