To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport.
What to Expect
Yerevan Airport (code: EVN) has a modern Terminal 2 that handles international and domestic traffic. A smaller terminal handles VIP flights. A traveller reports that local AMD currency is necessary for purchasing a visa. Amenities include free WiFi and shops and eateries, both landside and airside, though none are open 24 hours. Sleeping in Yerevan Airport
Overnight campers are common, with many flights coming and going at night. Reviewers report many comfortable seating options and generally friendly airport staff. Drinking Water
A reader tells us there are no drinking fountains, but the tap water is drinkable and you can refill water bottles in the restrooms.
Food & Drinks
At the time of this update, there are two restaurants in the gated area, 3 in the Departures Hall and 1 in the Arrivals Hall. All restaurants are open 24 hours.
Luggage Storage & Lockers
Location: Arrival Hall. Fees: AMD 3.000 per item per 24 hours.
Mobile Charging
A reader tells us some 230-volt connections are available airside for passengers to plug in their phone adaptors.
Showers

WiFi / Internet
Free WiFi is available at Yerevan Airport. Select “Zvartnots Public” to connect.
More Airport Information
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Arrivals Hall and Departures Hall.
Business Center – Location: New Passenger Terminal
Currency Exchange – Several banks (Converse Bank, Unibank, Ardshinbak) offer banking services, including currency exchange. Location: Check-in Area and Arrivals Hall. Hours: 24 hours a day.
Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free is available, as well as a few shops selling convenience-style items, Hudson News, for example. All shops operate 24 hours a day.
Fast Track Service – As a premium service, customers with Fast Track security passes will be given priority service to keep waiting to a minimum. Passes can be purchased from the Converse Bank (Arrival Hall) for AMD 7.000.
Information Desk – Have any questions? Visit the airport information desk for assistance. Location: Terminal 1, Arrivals Level and Departures Level. Hours: 24 hours.
Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags from theft and damage by having them wrapped in plastic. Services are available in the Departures Hall, 2nd Floor. Hours: 24 hours. Rates: 1.500 AMD.
Pharmacy – Alfa-Pharm is available in the Departure Hall, 2nd Floor. Hours: 24 hours.
Postal Services – Drop off your last-minute postcards, send a money transfer, and more at the Post Office. Location: Landside. Hours: 24 hours.
Airport Shuttle
A reader says there is an airport shuttle that runs 24/7 from the airport through the city center to the metro station “Yeritasardakan.” Cost is 300AMD(approx 0.6$). Departures are every 30 minutes from 06:00 – 00:00 and every hour from 00:00 – 06:00. They can be paid by Visa, Master, American Express, or other credit cards.
Car Rentals
The following car rental agencies offer services on the 1st floor of the Arrivals Hall: Europcar • Hertz • Rent Motors • Sixt.

Minibus
Travel as the locals do! If your load is light, you can travel at a fraction of the price of a taxi by taking a “marshrutka” (shared-ride minibus), which travels along fixed routes. Before hopping in, check with the driver to ensure they are heading to (or from) the airport.
Taxis
Metered taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. At the time of this update, the one-way fare between the airport and Yerevan city center is AMD 4.500.
Pro-Tip: A reader tells us, ” If you are travelling to Armenia, the taxi application, “GG” is a must-have tool throughout your stay. Using a GG taxi from the airport to the main square will cost approx. 1500-2000AMD(3-4$). They are very honest and polite and usually know at least Russian and/or English. The alternatives are the “Yandex” taxi – check the price rate before ordering and the U-taxi – which usually requires tips for rush hours
