What to Expect

Redmond Municipal Airport (code: RDM) consists of a small renovated terminal with an eatery and shop. The airport contains a take a book—leave a book “Flybrary.” WiFi is available to help pass the time. There are no private lounges at this airport.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airport Hours

The airport is open 24 hours.

After security checkpoints close for the night, all passengers are restricted to the landside areas and must re-clear security the next day when the checkpoints open (3:45 AM).

Avalon Aeropub is the airport’s full-service restaurant and bar. Location: 2nd Floor, airside, boarding area. Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Dancing River Gifts & Coffee – Location: Landside, Terminal Lobby • Airside, Passenger Boarding Area. Vending machines are also available near the Baggage claim and Boarding area.

A reader tells us, “Limited chargers, none by areas that make for great sleeping. Mostly they’re all by the round tables along the walls.” (July 2019)

Arts – Several art pieces by local artists are displayed throughout the terminal.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs operated by Wells Fargo are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: Landside.

Baby care Facilities – Mothers seeking privacy to feed and tend to their infants can use the nursing room. The room has a wash area, rocking chair and power outlets. Location: Airside, boarding area.

Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before (or after) their flight, take them to one of the children’s play areas. The spaces feature large flat-screen TVs with children’s shows, Lego tables, and comfortable family seating. Locations: Pre-screening area near baggage claim (landside) • Boarding Gates (airside).
