To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Omaha Eppley Airfield.
What to Expect
Omaha Airport (code: OMA) is housed in a single, easy-to-navigate building divided into three areas: the landside Main Terminal and Concourses A and B, which branch off from the main terminal and have their security checkpoints. The airport has a few eateries, mainly on the airside, and a cafe in the Concourse. A food court is open 24 hours. A few shops plus free WiFi help travellers pass the time. No pay-to-use airport lounges are available.
Sleeping in Omaha Airport
If you’re looking for a place to rest, your best bet is probably the floor, as most seating has armrests. Overnight campers should bring earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones to cope with frequent announcements. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer free airport shuttle service for guests. Remember that TSA, airline check-in, and baggage drop hours vary according to the flight schedule. Check these hours with your airline. If you are in the terminal’s public area (landside), you will not be able to get through to the terminal’s secure area (airside) until the morning.
