GND Airport Overview
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Grenada’s Maurice Bishop Airport.
What to Expect
Grenada Airport (code: GND) is a tiny international airport on the island of Grenada. The facilities are limited, but WiFi is available, and the staff is said to be exceptionally friendly! Everything at GND runs on “island time,” so prepare for the airport procedures to take a little longer to be completed than you may expect. For economy class passengers looking for additional comfort, there is the option to pay to use the airport’s lounge. See our Airport Lounges section below for locations and access rates.
Sleeping in Grenada Airport
While we haven’t received specific sleep-related reviews, it’s worth noting that past travellers have mentioned the seating at the airport can be uncomfortable for a sleepover. To be prepared, consider bringing a sleeping bag or travel mat. If you prefer uninterrupted sleep, hotels are conveniently located near the airport. Check out the Airport Hotels section below for more information, or read traveller airport reviews for additional tips.
To help us keep this guide up-to-date, you can add or update information or write a review to submit airport tips and photos. You can also visit the airport’s website for current information. For more airport information, continue scrolling down to explore more in our Grenada Airport Guide.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
