RAK Airport Overview
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Marrakech Menara Airport.
What to Expect
Marrakech Airport (code: RAK) has two modern passenger terminals in one large building. There are a variety of shops available both landside and airside, though dining options are limited, and their opening hours may be, too. WiFi is available to help pass the time. Additional services and comforts—including showers—can be found through fee-based access to one of the airport’s first-class lounges. See our Airport Lounges section for locations and rates.
Sleeping in Marrakech Airport
Travellers who have attempted to sleep in this airport report numerous problems. Seating is described as incredibly uncomfortable and generally located near automatic doors. Travellers trying to sleep in the airport report being stared at by other passengers and have been woken up and asked to move by security, especially when trying to sleep on the floor. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the guide below or read traveller airport reviews for more tips.
Good to Know
Travellers report that taxi drivers often fail to follow the official rate, overcharge and demand large tips.
