What to expect

Los Cabos Airport (code: SJD) has three terminals with four concourses. The airport’s current configuration has Terminal 1 serving all domestic operations and some international. Termina  2 serves International flights only. Termina  3 is reportedly under renovation, with plans to join it to a fourth terminal. The air ort features a decent selection of eateries and shops on both sides of security. All of these services are closed down overnight, so plan accordingly. WiFi is available, and there are reportedly plenty of outlets for charging mobile devices. Additional comfort can be found through fee-based access to one of the airport’s first-class lounges. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Machines are operated by Banamex, Bancomer/BBVA, Banorte, Cardtronics, HSBC and Scotiabank. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Terminal 1, landside • Terminal 1, International Arrivals • Terminal 2, landside • Terminal 3, landside.

Conference Facilities – Located in the VIP Lounge in Terminal 2

Currency Exchange – Globo Cambio offers foreign currency exchange in the landside and International Arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2. Hours: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Duty-Free & Shopping – The airport’s retail shops, including the Dufry Duty-Free (Terminal 1, airside), operate on varying schedules. Most shops close between 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Two Mini Markets are available, one Landside and one Airside (Gate 3).

Family Services – There are changing tables in select bathrooms and a children’s play zone in the public areas.

Medical Services – Urgent and emergency medical care is available 24 hours a day in the airport. Ask an airport staff member for assistance.
