What to Expect
Guwahati Airport (Code: GAU) has one domestic and one international terminal within a single building. A new sustainable terminal is under construction and scheduled to open in April 2021. A small variety of shops, restaurants, and free Wi-Fi are available to help you pass the time.

If sleeping in the Guwahati Airport sounds like a nightmare, there are transit rooms inside the terminal:

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by the State Bank of India and South India Bank, are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Baby Care Facilities – According to our information, there is an Infant Room where mothers can breastfeed in privacy. The room is said to be located in the Departures area. A reviewer (January 2020) says this information is incorrect, so we’re not sure if it is just hidden or there is no Infant Room. If you can confirm this information, click here to update this guide.
Baggage Trolleys – Need a hand with your luggage? Baggage trolleys are available free of charge.
Currency Exchange – Services are available in the Arrivals Area.
Duty-Free & Shopping – A few souvenir shops and a newsstand are available in the Departures area.
