Overall sleeping here is feasible, but I would not recommend it. Staying for several hours during daytime is not that bad. – marcorox

CLJ Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Cluj Airport.

What to Expect

cluj airport guideCluj Airport (code: CLJ) has a large, recently built terminal primarily operating European routes. Facilities include a few eateries and shops, though none are open 24 hours. Plan if you’re camping out or look for a vending machine for late-night snacks. WiFi and mobile charging can be found in designated areas, including the boarding and gate areas. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter a few airport lounges. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.

Sleeping in Cluj Airport

Overnight campers describe the seating as uncomfortable, so you may be better off sleeping on the floor – bring a travel mat or sleeping bag for some comfort. Don’t forget an eye mask, earplugs, or noise-cancelling headphones to combat bright lights and noise. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer a shuttle service. See the Airport Hotels section below for more info, or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.
