To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Belize City’s Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport.
What to Expect
Belize City Airport (code: BZE) has a single small terminal. Facilities are limited to a few cafes and bars, a range of shops, and free WiFi. There are no pay-to-use lounges.
Sleeping in Belize Airport
The airport closes nightly, generally from 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM, so staying here overnight is impossible. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer a shuttle service. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info, or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. WiFi/Internet
Free WiFi is available at Belize Airport. Connect to the “PGIA Courtesy WiFi” or “FreeBTLHOTSPOT” networks. Internet kiosks are also available throughout the airport. Most of the kiosks accept credit cards or internet e-cards only, but two of the kiosks do accept cash. Rates are posted at each kiosk.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: throughout both terminals.
Banking Services – Atlantic Bank Ltd. offers full-service banking in the airport.
Currency Exchange – Atlantic Bank Limited offers foreign currency exchange and other banking services in Terminal 2.
Duty-Free & Shopping – A small variety of duty-free shops are available in the Departures lounge and Arrivals Hall. In addition, there are approximately 15 shops available both Landside and Airside.
