What to Expect

Asheville Regional Airport (code: AVL) consists of a small, two-level terminal with seven gates, a full-service restaurant and a gift shop on the airside. The airport also has vending machines, a water bottle filling station, a business centre, charging stations and WiFi. Seating includes airside rocking chairs. There are no private lounges at this airport.

Sleeping in Asheville Regional Airport

Sleeping here won’t be easy, but according to one reviewer, a travel blanket and earplugs will certainly help. More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

Art in the AirportTemporarily Closed – Rotating art and live music exhibitions featuring local talent are on display in the terminal art gallery, located on the landside in the main lobby.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs and a cash-to-card kiosk are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, main lobby, near the security checkpoint.

Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to one of the children’s play areas. Locations: landside and airside.

Conference Rooms – A board room and small conference room are available to rent with prior arrangements.

Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free shopping is not available. There is a CNBC gift shop in front of the cafe in the main lobby and a concession stand on the airside.

Information Desk – Information, paging, postal services, and more are available at the Guest Services Center. Location: Baggage claim area, landside. Hours: 8:30 AM until the last flight arrives.

Luggage Carts – Need a hand with your luggage? Luggage carts are available for a fee. See the Guest Services Center for assistance.

Pet Relief Area – Travelling with a four-legged companion? The airport has an area for pets to stretch their legs, drink water, and take potty breaks. Location: Landside. Note: For airside pet relief, speak to an airline attendant.
