What to Expect
Rochester airport (code: ROC) underwent extension renovations which were completed in 2018. The airport consists of a mid-size terminal with two concourses and a combined 22 gates. The terminal hosts about a dozen eateries and shops, which are primarily located on the airside. WiFi is available to help pass the time. There are no private lounges at this airport.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport
Airport Mailers – Self-mailing service for items that do not pass security. The service is available at each checkpoint.
Airport Tours – Airport tours are available and take one to three hours. Reservation in advance is required.
Arts – There are several historical plane replicas on display. Sculptures, stain glass and paintings can be seen throughout the terminal.
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: in the food court and baggage claim.
Baby Care Facilities – All restrooms are equipped with baby changing tables and space for nursing.
Baggage Carts – Need a hand with your luggage? Baggage carts (Smarte Carte) are available in the baggage claim area and first level of the parking garage. Rate: $4 per card, with a 25-cent refund upon return.
Business Center – Currently unavailable – The Frontier Business Center offers a quiet area to work, with free use of private workstations, free WiFi and wired internet access. Data ports and telephones are also available for use for a fee. Location: Concourse A, airside. Hours: 5:00AM – 11:00PM.
Chapel – Location: Landside, Lower Level. Hours: open 24 hours.
Children’s Play Area – There are two interactive play zones available at the terminal. Location: Entrance of Concourse A and B.
Food & Drinks – Food concessions throughout the airport operate on varying schedules, with some options open as early as 5:00AM. You will find 2 options Landside and 4 options Airside. At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options. Vending machines are also available.
Information Desk – If you have any questions, there is an information desk available to provide assistance. Location: Near the Baggage Claim area. Hours: 10:00AM – 6:00PM, daily.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Pet Relief Area – Travelling with a 4 legged companion? Rochester Airport has an area for pets to stretch their legs, drink water and take their potty breaks. Location: outside the lower east and west end of the baggage claim/arrivals zone. A pet relief area is available airside for service animals.
Post Office – US Postal Service, UPS and FedEx mailboxes are available at the bottom of the stairs in the center observatory. Outside the airport, 5 minutes from the main entrance, there is a post office.

Shopping – At the time of this update, the only shop available at the airport is a Hudson News store. Location: Baggage claim. Hours: 7:00AM – 8:00PM.
Showers – Not available.

Smoking – Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the terminal building. Ashtrays can be found near all entrances outside the main building.
Viewing Area – There is a 3,800sq ft observation area open to the public. Location: Upper west area of the ticketing lobby.
Work Area – Private work areas have been provided throughout the airport including in the observation area.
Airport Hours
The airport is open 24 hours.
Keep in mind that TSA, airline check-in and baggage drop hours vary according to the flight schedule. Check these hours with your airline. If you are in the public area of the terminal (landside) you will not be able to get through to the secure area of the terminal (airside) until the morning.
