What to Expect
Rockhampton Airport (code: ROK) has a small, renovated terminal that handles a few domestic routes. Amenities include a cafe, a newsstand, vending machines, shower facilities, and free WiFi.
Sleeping in Rockhampton Airport

Airport Lounges
Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter through a lounge membership program (ie. Qantas Club). More Airport Information
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Near the check-in counters and near the Relay store (opposite the car rental desks).
Baby Care Facilities – If you are travelling with an infant, there is a baby care room for breastfeeding and diaper-changing. Location: the northern end of the terminal adjacent to the children’s play area.
Baggage Trolleys – Need a hand with your luggage? Baggage trolleys are available at the front of the terminal, at both the southern and northern ends and in all car parks. Rates: $1 or $2 dollar coin is accepted and refunded upon return of the trolley.
Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to the children’s play area. Location: northern end of the terminal adjacent to the Virgin check-in desk.
Conference Facilities – Three conference rooms are available for rent. The larger seats up to 60 people while the smaller rooms hold 14 people. Catering is available on request.
Disabled Services – There are dedicated handicap toilets in the arrivals and departures ends of the terminal. They are marked with brail and pictogram signs.

Duty Free & Shopping – The only shop is a RELAY newsagent store that sells newspapers, magazines, gift and some food and drink items. It is open from 5:30AM – 8:00PM daily.
Food & Drink – At the time of this writing, no 24-hour options are available. There is one café that is open daily from 5:30AM to 8:30PM. Vending machines (2 drinks only, 2 with snacks) can be found in the departures lounge and in the arrivals area (baggage claim).
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.
Mobile Charging – The bench seating next to Grab and Go Cafe has charging ports.
Postal Services – Drop off your last minute postcards at the airport’s mailbox. Location: in the 2 minute drop off zone within the short term car parking area.
Showers – Showers can be found at each end of the terminal near the toilet facilities. Rates are not known.

Smoking Area – Smoking is prohibited in the terminal or within 4 metres of the entrance 2 designated area are supplied, 1 in the departures end of the terminal in the garden area and the other in arrivals (baggage claim) before the taxi rank.
WiFi/Internet – Free WiFi is available at Rockhampton Airport. Connect to the “Free Wifi Rockhampton Airport” network.
Buses
Young Bus Service operates buses from ROK airport. Route no 20 connects the airport to the town centre as well as Capricorn coast. For fares, routes and schedules, visit the Young Bus Service website.

Taxi
Taxis are available at the airport. There is a free taxi phone outside the terminal near the taxi rank. At the time of this update, the 10 minute ride to the town centre will cost approximately $16.00.
