Palmerston North Airport (code: PMR) has a small terminal that handles several domestic routes. Facilities are limited to a convenience shop, a full-service restaurant, a casual eatery, and free WiFI.  Economy class passengers flying on Air New Zealand can find comfort in the lounge which is accessible with an airline membership. Sleeping in Palmerston North Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by BNZ, are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Ground Floor, near the restrooms.

Baby Care Facilities – If you are travelling with an infant, changing tables are available in the women’s and unisex disabled restrooms.

Conference Facilities – Two meeting rooms are available for hire (full day or half day). The large room seats between 12 – 30 people and the smaller room sits 8 – 25. Catering and presentation equipment is available on request for an additional cost.

Duty Free & Shopping – Shopping is limited to a Relay lotto shop. Location: Ground Floor, near the Air New Zealand check-in area. Hours: 6:00AM – 7:00PM (Mon – Thurs), 6:00AM – 9:30PM (Fri), 6:00AM – 5:15PM (Sat) and 8:00AM – 7:30PM (Sun).

Food & Drink – Café Ignition offers full-service dining and panoramic views of the airfield from the 1st floor. If you want something quick, the Touch & Go Cafe, located near the Arrivals doors, has coffee and take-away meals. Both are open from 5:00AM until last flight arrival of the day.

Information Desk – Need help finding your way? Visit the airport information desk for help. Location: Ground Floor, past the rental car desks.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Mobile Charging – USB charging ports are available for use in Café Ignition and at the top of the stairs, opposite the New Zealand Regional Lounge.

Buses

The airport is connected to the center (via the Air Connector bus service) as well as destinations such as Horowhenua or Kapiti Coast (via the Wellington and New Plymouth Bus Service). Taxis are available in front of the terminal. There is a free taxi phone located inside the airport near the main arrivals doors, and a second is located on the illuminated advertising panel. The airport partners with Taxis Palmerston North.
