Hamilton Island Airport (code: HTI) is tiny, but despite its size the airport is quite busy. Facilities are limited to a restaurant and shop. Lines for check-in can be long and slow during peak season, so be sure to get there early! For additional comfort, economy class passengers have the option to use the airport’s lounge. The airport is open from 8:00AM – 4:00PM.  From the airport: “For security reasons, the airport is closed at 4:00PM and visitors are advised to leave the terminal.”  Sleeping in the airport overnight is not possible.
