What to Expect
Dunedin Airport (code: DUD) has a small terminal that connects to a few regional destinations. Facilities include an eatery, two cafes, a duty-free area, and two small shops. Free WiFi is available to help pass the time. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. Sleeping in Dunedin Airport
The airport is open from 6:00AM until the day’s last flight, often 9:30PM, so staying the night here is not possible. For uninterrupted sleep, hotels are nearby. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

Airport Hotels

Airport WiFi/Internet
Free WiFi is available at Dunedin Airport for 30 minutes or 1000 MB. Following that initial period, you can pay to use additional internet. There are also two coin-operated internet kiosks ($2 for 12 minutes) located upstairs, adjacent to Velluto.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by Westpac, are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: at the front entrance of the terminal.
Baby Care Facilities – Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options. Food options include: Fuel to Fly AirEspresso & Bar • Chamber of Coffee.
Conference Facilities – There is one conference room and two meeting rooms located on the second floor.
Disabled Services – Wheelchairs available, lifts operate between all floors and handicap toilets on the ground floor and Level 1. Additional support can be arranged at the information desk.
Duty Free & Shopping – Duty-free shopping is available in the International Departures and Arrivals Halls. In order to purchase from the duty-free shops, you must have a valid ticket. In addition to the two duty-free shops, there is a book/stationery store and a gift shop.
Family Services – A variety of game machines, including video games and pinball, are available in the X-Zone family entertainment center. The nearby Time to Play offers small children a place to play while their parents take a break with a cup of coffee. Location: Level 1.
Food & Drink – Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options. Food options include: Bach Espresso & Bar • Chamber of Coffee • Skyline Sushi.
Information Desk – Located on the ground floor adjacent to baggage claim.
Key Drop – You can drop off or pick up keys at the Information Desk for a $3.00 fee.
Luggage Carts – Free trolleys are available in the arrivals hall.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Available through the Customer Services Desk on the Ground floor. Rates are $5.00/piece/day or part thereof. Reduced rates start after the 1st week of storage and rates are available for up to 28 days.
Massage Chairs – Located on the ground floor and Level 1, and cost $2 for a 5 minute massage.
Medical Services – Urgent and emergency medical care is available at the First Aid Room, located on Level 1, next to the Parents Room and escalators.
Mobile Charging – Two charging stations are available on the first floor.
Postal Services – A reader (January 2019) let us know that a mailbox is located at the top of the escalator beside the coffee shop.
Rest Zones – There are no dedicated sleeping areas, quiet areas or rest zones. If this information has changed, click here to update this guide.
Showers – Showers are available, ask at the Information Desk (Location: Ground floor, adjacent to baggage claim). For $7.00 they will supply a towel, shampoo and soap.
