PORT AUX BASQUES (Ferry Terminal), Newfoundland

"Sleeping during the day is ill advised because of the crowds." (Kurt)

What you can look forward to:

  • a "fair deal" of seats and benches
  • loud announcements

"Both terminals are modern facilities and are quite nice. Lots of things to buy, smoke shops, restaurants, arcades, and a fair deal of seats and benches. Sleeping during the day is ill advised because of the crowds. However dozing off during the wee hours is fine while waiting for the ferry, with no problems getting up on time because of the loud announcements for loading. If you're footing it, a bus will take you inside the super ferry and if you have a car.. it might be better off to sleep in the car. Truckers got it made with their bunks."
