What to Expect

zakynthos zante airport guideZakynthos – Zante Airport (code: ZTH) has a small terminal that handles dozens of seasonal flights in the summer. During peak season, expect long, chaotic security procedures, but a recent change in ownership means some modernization is expected. Facilities include a landside cafe, four airside eateries, a duty-free shop, and free WiFi.

Sleeping in Zante Airport

Due to very limited operating hours that change seasonally, overnight stays are not possible. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service for a fee. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by Euronet, are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside and Airside.

Baby Care Facilities – If you are travelling with an infant, there is a baby care room for breastfeeding and diaper-changing.

Duty Free & Shopping – Duty Free is available. Location and hours are not known.

Food & Drinks – Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. Dining options include:

Luggage Carts – Need a hand with your bags? Baggage carts are available throughout the airport.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, first aid services are available.

Mobile Charging – Charging stations are available airside, near Gate 3 and 7. The stations offer Micro USB, USB hub and power sockets.

Showers – Not available.

Travel Agencies – If you are arriving in Zakynthos Zante and need local arrangements or help planning a really last minute trip abroad, there are a few travel agencies with offices at the airport that can probably be of assistance: Aviareps and Pandair.

Bus

Flat-rate taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. At the time of this update, the one-way fare between the airport and city center is €13.
