Whether you have a layover, overnight sleepover or you are just quickly passing through, our Sevilla Airport Guide is a great place to start planning your visit.  Here, you’ll find information on services and facilities available inside the airport – including details about airport lounges, WiFi, mobile charging points, lockers, 24-hour food options, nearby hotels, and everything in between.

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Sevilla Airport.

What to Expect

Sevilla Airport (code: SVQ) has a small, modern terminal that handles local and regional flights and serves as a hub for low-cost carriers. Amenities include several eateries and shops, including duty-free, but none are open 24 hours, so plan ahead if you stay the night. You can take advantage of free WiFi and many power outlets. Economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.

Sleeping in Sevilla Airport

A 2020 review indicates that it is not possible to sleep here overnight.  Daytime sleepers will find plentiful armrest-free seating and ample floor space.  Overnight sleepers must stay outside the terminal (bring bug repellent) or at a nearby hotel.  See our Airport Hotels section below for locations, or read traveller airport reviews for more tips.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. According to the airport’s website, the airport is open from 4:30 AM – 11:00 PM during the summer (April – October) or 5:30 AM – 12:00 AM during the winter (November – March).

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Departures area and Boarding zone.

Baggage Trolleys – Need a hand with your luggage? Baggage trolleys are available.

Duty-Free & Shopping – A duty-free store and a small selection of shops are available before and after security. Hours: Most stores operate between 8:30 – 8:00 PM).

Food & Drinks – There are no 24-hour food and beverage concessions, but you will find these options.

  • Landside: Burger King (Hours: 11:00 AM – depending on flight schedule)
  • Airside: Lavazza (Hours: 5:30 AM-8:30 PM), Tomas Food Truck (5:00 AM – 10:00 PM).

Information Desk – If you have any questions? There is an information desk which may be able to provide assistance. Location: Landside, P1. Hours: unknown.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags by having them covered with plastic wrap. Location: first floor, near the check-in.

Medical Services – First aid services are available if you feel unwell or injured yourself. Locations: Floor 0, Arrivals zone. There are also 4 Automated External Defibrillators (AED) (Departures Hall, first floor • Shopping area, first floor • Boarding zone, ground floor • Baggage reclaim lounge, ground floor).

Observation Deck – Watch the planes take off at the “El Mirador” observation deck. Location: Airside, Floor 1.

Postal Services – Drop off your last-minute postcards to friends and family from the airport’s mailbox. Location: Departures Hall, ground floor.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

Linea EA: Airport Special buses offer daily service between the airport and Plaza de Armas in the city center. Stops along the way include Santa Justa rail and AVE station. At the time of this update, a one-way journey costs €4 and takes about 35 minutes.

Car Rentals

Taxi
