The small terminal at Memmingen Airport (code: FMM) primarily handles leisure and seasonal flights across Europe. Facilities are limited to a snack bars, an outdoor beer garden, and a duty-free shop. Free WiFi helps pass the time.

The airport opens at 4:30AM (Mon/Thurs) • 4:00AM (Tues/Wed/Sat) • 4:15AM (Fri) • 5:00AM (Sun). In any event the airport opens 2 hours before the first flight and and closes about 1 hour after the last flight. Sleeping in the airport overnight is not possible.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

  • Local Route: Bus lines 2 and 810/811 link the airport to the central bus station (ZOB), located at the Memmingen Railway Station. At the time of this update, one way fare is € 3.00.
  • Airport Transfers: The airport partners with a variety of airport transfer service providers. To choose which is best for your, visit the Memmingen Airport website.
  • Long Distance: The airport is served by the Allgäu Airport Express if your final destination is Munich (20,00€ payable on the bus) or ride a Flixbus if your goal is to reach Jena. For more information, visit the Alagãu Airport Express website.

Allgäu-Airport Express offers shared-ride shuttle service to destinations in the Allgäu region, with service scheduled to coordinate with all Wizzair and Ryanair flights. Four Season Travel offers shared-ride and private service to/from Tyrol. Busandfly offers shared and private service to Munich, Nuremberg and Erlangen und Bamberg. Lech Taxi offers service to the Arlberg Region (Lech, Zürs and Stuben am Arlberg). Meinfernbus is a long-distance coach service provider.
