What to Expect

The small terminal at Mendoza Airport (code: MDZ) handles domestic and regional routes. Facilities include a couple of eateries and a few shops. Free WiFi helps pass the time.  For added comfort, while you wait, there is a lounge. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.

Sleeping in Mendoza Airport

We do not yet have any sleep-related airport reviews; however, a general review mentions cold temperatures, uncomfortable seating and noise.  Bring along a travel blanket and earplugs.  For uninterrupted sleep, hotels are nearby. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. There are no hotels at Mendoza Airport, but you will find a few along the road to the city center, a 20+ minute drive away. Visit Tripadvisor to see a list of hotels in Mendoza, search for deals and read traveller reviews.

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

If you are an economy class traveller, you can enter the following lounge at Mendoza airport through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and learn how to gain access with just an economy class ticket!

  • Aeropuertos VIP Club – Location: Main Terminal, Domestic Departures, Airside, near Gates 3 and 4. Showers are available. Lounge Access: Lounge membership programs.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – At the time of this update, we did not have any information regarding ATMs. See Banking Services below for other money options.

Banking Services – There is a National Bank located in the International Hall.

Currency Exchange – Currency exchange services are available at the bank. See Banking Services above.

Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free is available in two locations: International Terminal, Ground Floor in the pre-boarding sector • International Terminal, Ground Floor near Baggage Claim. Additionally, there is a small selection of shops available Landside.

Food & Drinks – A reader (September 2018) tells us that there is a 24-hour restaurant on the second floor. We have not been able to confirm this, so plan ahead. The airport offers Havanna, Tienda de Cafe and Pizza & Espuma. Hours: unknown.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Luggage Wrapping – True Secure Bag offers luggage wrapping.

Mobile Charging – A reader tells us, “Charging stations with USB sockets, and Argentinian sockets (compatible with European sockets) are available throughout the airport. ” (July 2019)

Pharmacy – Location: International, Landside, ground floor.

Showers – Not available.

WiFi/Internet – A reader (January 2019) tells us that free WiFi is available throughout the terminal at Mendoza Airport.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

Local bus route 60 links the airport to the city center. You can catch it in the main access area. At the time of this update, the bus fare is $1.20.

Car Rentals

The following car rental agencies have offices onsite: Alamo • Avis • Europcar • Hertz • Localiza • Wonder Rent-A-Car.

Taxis

You can hire a “remis” (privately-owned taxi) or a fixed-rate taxi from clearly marked areas in the airport parking lot.
