To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Buenos Aires Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport.
What to Expect
Buenos Aires Aeroparque Airport (code: AEP) consists of a two-level single terminal building with 22 departure gates located in three Sectors (A, B and C). The terminal hosts plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops on both the airside and landside, with 24-hour cafes and vending providing late-night snacks and drinks for overnight sleepers. WiFi is available and there are plenty of charging areas for mobile devices. Additional comfort can be found through fee-based access to one of the airport’s first class lounges. Sleeping in Aeroparque Airport
Travellers report that airport staff are friendly and accommodating to overnight sleepers, with some reviewers noting that staff directed them to a floor just above the domestic boarding area as being the quietest spot for sleeping. Armrest-free seating can be found in gate areas, with International gates reportedly having the more comfortable seats. Floor sleepers, with travel mats and/or sleeping bags, tend to stretch out along the windows of the long gate area hallway. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Machines are operated by Banco Nación, HSBC, and Santander. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: Landside, Sector A / Sector C • Domestic Departures Terminal, first floor.
Chapel – Available on the Ground Floor of the airport, International Arrivals.
Currency Exchange – Information is not available.
Duty Free & Shopping – Duty-free shopping is available in Sector A (International Departures, 1st floor, pre-boarding) and Sector A1 (International Arrivals, landside, baggage reclaim). A variety of other shops are available throughout the terminal.
Food & Drinks – There are a wide variety of food concessions available with varying operating times. These options operate 24/7: Florida Garden • Le Pain Quotidien • McDonald’s • Natural Market • Outback • Tienda de Sabores. Vending machines are also available.
Information Desk – If you have any questions, visit the airport information desk for assistance. Location: Arrivals Hall.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.
Mobile Charging – Charging stations and power sockets are available airside.
Pharmacy – FarmaCity – Location: Sector A, landside, 1st Floor Departures. Hours: unknown.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Buses and Colectivos
Aeroparque Airport is served by Transporte Urbano de Pasajeros bus lines 33, 37, 45 and 160. To board the buses, passengers need a SUBE reloadable card which can be purchased from the Open25 convenience store in the arrivals.
There is also a shuttle bus offered by Manuel Tienda Leon company. Tickets for this shuttle can also be purchased landside in the Arrivals hall.
Car Rentals
The following car rental agencies have offices located landside, in the Domestic Arrivals Area: Alamo • Avis • Europcar • Hertz • Localiza.
Hotel Shuttles
At the time of this update we were unable to find any hotels that provide airport shuttles. Some hotels can book transfers on your behalf for a fee. See also Airport Hotels above.
Ride Sharing
Uber is available throughout Argentina. A ride to the city centre will cost you about 2700 ARS (7 euros).
Taxis
Taxis are readily available in the ground transportation areas, where you will find machines to book your ride and get an estimate of your fare.
