"I thought it would be fun to save 5 bucks spending my last night in morocco at marrakech airport instead of staying at my hotel. I couldn't sleep because of armrests, and freezing because of AC. When I finally fell slightly asleep, a police officer woke me up saying I wasn't allowed to stay there, asking for passeport and plane ticket. I then realized I was the only one in the departure lounge. I was sent to the arrival one, overcrowded. I tried sleeping on cement floor, which was worse, between crying babies and stinking travelers. My flight was only at 9 AM, and finally was like an hour late, so my journey at the airport lasted more than 12 hours. I was relieved to land in venice, but my back hurt almost as much as my stomach. Two weeks of coucous was hard enough - I don't recommend the airport for a good night of sleep, especially if you don't have enough dirhams to buy at least a magazine."
