"A far to big airport for the three flights per week that arrive. There is a four lane road with street lamps leading to the airport building (unheard of in Ghana). The airport building was erected in 1993 by the President: Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings, maybe that is why the airport is so nice. Airport building has lots of metal detectors and luggage scanners that are not used. Airport also has a huge fire truck, which I fear is an illustration of how much they trust the pilots. Anyway flight gets delayed for twelve hours and there is no where to sleep. The terminal has a few plastic chairs, television, PA system and a bar. There is also the workers bar across the tiny parking lot. Tried to spend the night at the airport, but am told that they lock the place up for the night, but the airport manager is nice enough to drive me back to town and a hotel and even picks me up in the morning for my flight. Funny small, African airport, but safe and nice. "
