"I can't really agree with D.Hill about Hurghada Airport. I
came from there only several days and I should say it is quite a
nice airport to stay.D. Hill: Guards come and disturb you
frequently, plus you have to pay to pee! First, guards are
very tolerant to tourists as the other Egyptians, as long as
they don't try to sell you something. Toilets are very good and
clean. Yes, a janitor there tried to give me paper for coins,
but when I said no, he didn't insist. Also there is a large
label that says "Don't tip in toilets" both in English
in Russian. The gift shops are plenty and usually cheaper
than shops in Hurghada itself. The prices there are fixed, so
you don't have to haggle. Most of the souvenirs can be bought
there, so you may not go to downtown during 40 to buy some
papyrus or stone statue and calmly enjoy your stay at the Red
Sea Shore, buying presents to your friends afterwards. In
contrary to gift shops, Restaurants are expensive. Even in
comparison to my hotel's prices. So you'd better buy some food
beforehand. I think sleeping there is a bad idea because
of the hard seats, so it's better to spend night playing cards
or chess with you friends. All that can be baught right in the
giftshops for a reasonable price."
